Privacy Policy

VeeVi takes data privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you use VeeVi at https://facelessvideos.app, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. It also covers our practices regarding the access, use, storage, and sharing of Google user data.

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service, and terms used here have the same meaning as there unless defined differently below.

Who is responsible for your data

VeeVi is operated by Bian Xuebin, an individual sole proprietor, located at 16th Floor, Shengjian Building, Jianye District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province 210000, China. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@facelessvideos.app.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and password hash when you register, or the basic profile (name, email address, avatar, and channel name) returned by Google, GitHub, TikTok, or YouTube when you sign in or connect an account through them.

Content you submit and generate. The topics, scripts, prompts, and settings you enter; audio, images, or footage you upload; and the videos, images, voiceovers, and captions the service generates for you, together with the project records that describe them.

Usage and billing records. Which plan you are on, your subscription status and billing period, your quota and credit consumption, generation history, and the identifiers our payment provider returns for your orders.

Log data. Whenever you use the service we receive data your browser or device sends — IP address, browser and device type and version, the pages you visit, referring pages, timestamps, time spent, and error and performance information.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for sign-in sessions, security, language preference, and product analytics. Most interactive websites use cookies to retrieve user details on each visit; you can block or delete them in your browser, though sign-in will not work without session cookies.

We do not collect your phone number or postal address, and we do not ask you for payment card details — those go directly to our payment provider.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
To operate the service: generate scripts, images, animations, voiceovers, and captions, store your projects, and export and publish your videos.
To meter plans, quotas, and credits, take payment, and handle refunds, invoices, and billing disputes.
To screen prompts and content against our Acceptable Use Policy, and to investigate reports, abuse, and fraud.
To provide support, send transactional email (verification, password reset, renewal reminders, service notices), and respond to your requests.
To debug, monitor, secure, and improve the service, using aggregated or de-identified data where that is sufficient.
To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (operating the service and taking payment), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement), consent (optional integrations such as connecting a YouTube channel, and non-essential analytics), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

AI generation and model training

Prompts, uploads, and the outputs generated for you are sent to the third-party AI model platforms listed below so the requested generation can be performed. Those platforms process the request on our behalf under their own terms.

We do not use your prompts, uploads, or generated outputs to train our own AI models, and we do not sell this content. We may use aggregated or de-identified usage data that does not identify you to evaluate quality, control cost, and improve the product.

Free-text prompts are screened by a content moderation service before they reach a generation model. Prompts flagged as violating our policies are refused and the incident is recorded so we can enforce the Terms of Service.

Service providers

We share personal data only with providers that need it to deliver the service, under contract and confidentiality obligations, and only for that purpose:

Waffo Pancake — payment processing and merchant of record for new subscriptions, and content moderation screening of your prompts.
Creem — payment processing for the remaining subscriptions started before our migration to Waffo Pancake; it receives no new subscriptions.
Replicate — AI image generation, image-to-video animation, and text-to-speech voiceover.
OpenRouter — AI text generation for scripts, ideas, hooks, storyboards, and image prompts.
AssemblyAI — speech-to-text transcription used to build captions.
Cloudflare R2 — object storage for your uploads, generated assets, and video exports.
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Microsoft Clarity — product analytics and session insight on our web pages.
Google / YouTube, TikTok, GitHub — optional sign-in and publishing integrations you choose to connect.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We also disclose data where the law requires it, to protect our rights, to prevent fraud or harm, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you).

Google user data and YouTube

VeeVi uses Google APIs when you sign in with your Google account and when you choose to let VeeVi publish a video to your YouTube channel. In those cases we receive your basic Google profile (name, email address, avatar), your YouTube channel name and thumbnail, and an access token scoped to uploading videos.

VeeVi's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the sign-in and YouTube publishing features you requested; we do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security or legal reasons, or on de-identified and aggregated data.

By using the YouTube publishing feature you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke VeeVi's access to your Google account at any time from the Google security settings page, in addition to deleting the connection or your account in VeeVi.

Third-party policies that apply to the integrations we offer:

Payment and subscription information

Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake as merchant of record. Our previous provider, Creem, takes no new subscriptions and still bills only those started before our migration. Your payment card details are collected and processed by them in accordance with PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council; complete card numbers never reach our servers and we never store them. We receive only what we need to run your subscription: the plan and interval, subscription and order identifiers, status, billing period dates, the amount charged, and the email address used at checkout.

Data retention

Generated files and project assets. On the Free plan, uploads, generated assets, and exports are kept for 7 days. On paid plans they are kept for as long as your subscription is active; after a subscription ends, Free-plan retention applies, so export anything you want to keep.
Account data. Kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your projects and generated files are deleted.
Billing and tax records. Kept for as long as legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations require, even after account deletion.
Logs, moderation, and abuse records. Kept for a limited period for security, debugging, and enforcement, then deleted or de-identified.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights — note that we do not sell personal information.

You can update your profile and delete your account yourself at https://facelessvideos.app/app/account, and manage or cancel your subscription at https://facelessvideos.app/app/billing. For anything else, email hello@facelessvideos.app from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls on administrative tools, and scoped credentials for third-party providers. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

Links to other sites

Our service may contain links to other sites, and lets you publish to platforms we do not operate. Those sites and platforms are governed by their own privacy policies, and we have no control over and assume no responsibility for their content or practices.

Children's privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK, where a higher age applies), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that a child has provided us with personal information, we delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@facelessvideos.app so we can act.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above, and material changes take effect when posted. Please review this page periodically.
